As the High Holidays approach, we remind ourselves of the timeless teaching of our Sages: “Repentance, Prayer, and Charity nullify the bad decree”. In preparation for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, we strive to increase our commitment to these three fundamental Mitzvot, so that we may be found worthy on the Day of Judgement.
Instead of Kapparot, we invite you to send a donation of $26.00 per person in your family. Your donation will go directly to provide basic needs for poverty-stricken families in Israel, and toward enriching and uplifting the lives of our community members through outreach and education.
Tzedakah, charity, is surely the best Kapparah we can hope to attain for ourselves and our families. In the merit of your performing this great Mitzvah, may you be blessed with a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year.
Wishing you a Shana Tova,
Rabbi Yosef Shemtov
