Parasha Thoughts

Shalom, there was a man who needed to speak to one of the most important and influential leaders in the city. He had never met him or seen him or heard him, he only heard of him and his kind heart and great wealth. He found his residence and was amazed by what he saw, the wall all around and the huge gate, the beautiful botanical garden and yard, immaculate and artistic landscape with colorful flowers. The well maintained pathway led to the marble stairs of the huge palace. He climbed the stairs and knocked on the enormous heavy oak door with a trembling hand. The butler opened the door and in front of him he saw a magnificent hall with a very big impressive chandelier which illuminated the pricey paintings all around. As he was taking all that in, a very elegant figure stood before him and asked what he needed. ” I … I … I wanted to speak to the master of the house please”. ” I am the master ” he said proudly. “What can I help you with ?”. Suddenly a hand appeared from behind around his neck and a mocking voice said ” are you the master ?!”. And the man shrank, lost color and bent over and said ” forgive me master, I was only trying a joke !”. Then the master came out of the shadows and with total authority said “don’t mind him he is one of the servants, come to my office and let me hear you”… Pharaoh called himself God and he claimed he created himself and does not know Hashem. Suddenly a hand appeared and showed him and the whole world who the master is. He brought the plagues and the signs to show all forever that he is the master.

Shabat Shalom.
